What is IMEI Number?
IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity and this number is unique to every GSM, CDMA and iDEN mobile phones. You can check the IMEI number of your mobile handset by pressing *#06# keys on your mobile handset.
Understanding the IMEI Number
IMEI number is a 15 digit code and can be analysised in AAAAAA-BB-CCCCCC-D manner, where :
AAAAA – Type of the phone
BB – Manufacturing country code
CCCCC – Phone serial number
D – IMEI Verifier
Unlocking Blocked IMEI Numbers
Not all phones have got fake or duplicate IMEI numbers and hence you need to check the IMEI number originality status first. If you find it legitimate, then there is no need to worry. But if you find it fake and it has already got blocked, then you need to unblock or activate it again.
Using GII program, one can implant a new IMEI number on blocked phones. You can visit to a retail outlet and ask for a new IMEI number implant. It takes less than 15 minutes and Rs. 199.00 only to activate a new IMEI number on blocked Chinese mobile handsets. There is no way to unlock or activate blocked IMEI numbers online.
