Latest WordPress 3.0 Released- Available for Download

On 17th of June the new WordPress Version 3.0, named Thelonious, was released. The major features includes management of multiple site (multisite) and a sexy new default theme called Twenty Ten.

The thirteenth major release of the wordpress after 218 contributer working in it for half a year, WordPress Version 3.0 is now available for download (or upgrade within your dashboard). WordPress being the most used publishing platform is now coming up with more and more new comfortable versions to help us with all they can. This new version includes a lots of new features. And also with some new themes.

Some features are as under:

•  WordPress and WordPress MU have merged with the management of multiple sites called multisite from one WordPress.

•  New default theme “Twenty Ten” supports its new features very well.

•  Improved Custom post types and custom taxonomie with hierarchical support.

•  The admin username and password can be set during installation. And got a big overhaul for better security and usability.

•  No coding experience needed to modify your WordPress navigation: Just drag and drop menu items, and that’s it

•  WordPress 3.0 comes with 8 beautiful header backgrounds (featured below). You also have an option for uploading your own custom headers.

•  You can add additional columns to the Posts Comments view.

•  Improved Content Management in WordPress 3.0 with Custom Post Types.
