How To Make Gtalk Contact Shortcut on Desktop

You can create a shortcut for your Gtalk (Google Talk) contacts on your desktop Windows desktop. Next time you want to quickly reach a bunch of important Google Talk contacts, you can access them faster and more easily.

Just click on the desired shortcut and you will find a chat window open with the associated Friend.

Follow the steps:

1. Right-click on your desktop, this will open the context menu.

2. Move your mouse over New and select Shortcut.

3. When prompted to input the location of the item, insert the following:

gtalk:chat?jid=username@gmail.com

4.Press ok and you will see the following icon on your desktop.

5. You will see the chat window open directly, which saves lot of time.
