Yahoo Mail Account POP Settings & Configuration Microsoft Outlook

Most users use Microsoft Outlook as an email client in Corporate world. If you use Yahoo account for E-mails and you want to use Outlook for your mails then go ahead read the steps to configure that.You can configure Yahoo Mail so that Outlook can be used to send and receive messages on your Yahoo Mail account.

When you do this you are still also able to access your Yahoo Mail account online (via your web browser.) This set-up is for Yahoo mails because people get different IDs based on their locations and in that case its quit difficult to set up a personal Outlook server.

Accessing a Yahoo Mail account through Outlook Express has a number of advantages:

• You can keep a large amount of e-mail without overflowing the storage available to you at Yahoo.
• You can read your messages “offline”. I.e. you can read them while your computer is not connected to the Internet.
• E-Mail stationery will work. Most e-mail stationery uses “scripting”, which is not supported by Yahoo Mail online (when you use Yahoo Mail in your web browser.) When you view the same messages in Outlook Express instead, you can see them as intended.

At First open your Yahoo mail window, then click on  “Mail Options” at the right side of the window shown in below image,

Now choose “Pop and Forwarding” option from the menu & click on “Setup or edit POP and Forwarding” to get the details about server setting for your yahoo mail.

Here you will have an option to forward your yahoo mails to other email service like Hotmail,Gmail.

Select “Web and POP access” and save the changes. Now click on POP settings to see what are the details about SMTP Outgoing and POP Incoming server for your email account.

Here is the details about SMTP outgoing and POP incoming servers for the selected email account.

Do this setup email account in Outlook or other email clients.

SERVER SETTINGS :

Now you can add email account in outlook to get your yahoo mails over there. Check mail option in your account, you will find the incoming and outgoing server details related to your account over there.
