Very informative post Saurabh! It’s good to see that you gave several options to choose from. I haven’t needed a data recovery tool for several years but there is a tool that I used about 8 years ago that works really well for recovering data from a corrupted hard drive that is still functional. The software is called SpinRite and it looks like the latest version is SpinRite 6.0. It recovered about 95% of the data on a hard drive that I thought was completely lost. I’m not sure what new tools are better for this application but it certainly works well for an older Windows XP system.
